New EP "ALETHEIA'S CALLING" coming on October 2021
On its musical thread suspended above the chaos, DIRTSA walks in equilibrium like a tightrope walker.
A keen eye on the world, faith in her lucky stars, undeniable talent and the desire to assert herself as an outsider are undoubtedly the main ingredients of the success of the young DIRTSA.
Du haut de ses 24 ans, cette toulousaine d’origine camerounaise est une âme éveillée, consciente de son époque et capable de se saisir de la brutalité du quotidien pour la transformer en une prose lyrique et percutante.
Combining with agility the richness of its dual culture with its Anglo-Saxon influences, its musical universe is located between HipHop Lo-Fi, Soul / R & B and Afrotrap.
DIRTSA's voice is airy and caressing when melodic, then her tone becomes harsh and circumspect when she raps. An anthology of emotions that we find in his pen which in turn evokes spleen, hopes, resilience and thirst for the absolute.
This last element is the central theme of his debut EP, which is scheduled for release in September 2021. Named ALETHEIA´S CALLING in reference to the spirit of truth in Greek mythology, which according to Plato is the "disposition which allows the affirmation and negation ”, this musical project is an initiatory and philosophical journey whose final destination would be the discovery of authentic light, that which one finds when leaving the cave of illusions.
Her talent is already being exported abroad, since she has just been signed for distribution by the Americans of Symphonic (Solange, Steel Pulse…) and in edition by the English of Cutcraft (Chet Faker, Izzy Bizu, BIA…) .
Far from bling-bling Rap, DIRTSA shines with its spirit. It is undoubtedly this singular glow that propelled her as the 2021 winner of the Pernod Ricard Live Music prize and which attracts the attention of the best French programs, from Francofolies de la Rochelle to Cabaret Sauvage, including the FreeMusic Festival. or the MaMA Festival.
